A general purpose system should use most of its available RAM to cache whenever possible, because doing stuff in RAM is just so very, very fast, but when that eventually needs to get paged, a slow disk can bottleneck things.

I have installed a 500gb Samsung 860 in hopes that it would help it run faster by destressing the CPU but it didnt make a difference so I think its the ram so I have 2 questions. 1 Why does it say there are two DIMM slots when there is only one stick of ram.
